From my first moment in Maine, I have found both meaning and inspiration in the natural beauty that abounds here. Maine is, more than my happy home. It is my canvas.

In ways both big and small, my early memories and ongoing love of Maine have added color and texture to my professional journey; from my first job working weekends at a local greenhouse to field work as an environmental scientist, I have always worked to understand, preserve and celebrate the natural landscape. So when this journey ultimately led me to floral design – and gave me a medium to share this beauty with others – I knew I had found my calling.

After studying the principles of floral design locally and nationally, most notably with Nancy Gingrich Shenk of Longwood Gardens and Maine's own Ann Jordan, Heather Caron Floral Designs was born. By combining the artistry of design with the practicality of science – grounded in common sense, with more than a sprinkle of humility (what an honor to be a part of so many beautiful moments!) – we continue to breathe new life into this age old tradition.
